21cclcPROGRAM GOALS

Goal 1:  Build cohesion between core academics to enhance learning and outcomes in reading. 

Objective 1: Student who participate in the program will improve their reading a skills a minimum of 80% proficiency.

Evaluation: Utilize Lexia Learning, and STAR Reading Assessments for instructional tools and formative assessment; pre and post assessments given each benchmark period. 

 

Goal 2:  Build cohesion between core academics to enhance learning and outcomes in math.

Objective 1: Student who participate in the program will improve their math skills a minimum of 80% proficiency.

Evaluation: Utilize ST math, DreamBox math, Carey’s Center for Mathematics and STAR Math Assessments for instructional tools and formative assessment; pre and post assessments given each benchmark period. 

 

Goal 3: Provide an opportunity for students to build mastery in content beyond core academic subjects, deepening skills and interests in an area of the arts. 

Objective 2: To develop a minimum of 80% proficiency with the students through music, choir and art.

Evaluation: Each areas will give fall and spring performances to measure growth and participation.

 

Goal 4: Build a positive learning environment by fostering student leadership. 

Objective 3: Student who participate in the program will increase behaviors that promote learning and respectful interactions by a  20% reduction in student behavioral referrals. 

Evaluation: Evidenced by the school’s end of year discipline report

 

Goal 5: To improve parental involvement and development outcomes for at-risk young children.

Objective 4: A minimum of 80% of the parents will develop the skills and support they need to get involved in school and community activities,

Evaluation: Interviews; parent surveys, parenting training classes.

 

Goal 6: To increase exposure to STEM activities.

Objective 5:  A 20% increase the number of elementary and middle school students that participate in STEM weekend Science Saturday Academy program.

Evaluation: Student attendance from the local schools in the Macon County School System
